Scott Petty, Managing Director at vSpring Capital

Scott is a founding Managing Director of vSpring Capital, an early stage venture capital fund. Scott has led vSpring's investments in Alianza, Alpha Bay, Cerberian (acquired by Blue Coat Systems, NASDAQ:BCSI), comScore Networks (NASDAQ:SCOR), Control4, CrimeReports, FamilyLink, Infusionsoft, LignUp, SwarmBuilder, and Zonder. Prior to vSpring, Scott was COO and a Board Director of Zuka Juice. Under Scott's leadership, Zuka Juice grew from its first store to over 100 retail units and over 400 employees. Zuka Juice was acquired by Jamba Juice (NASDAQ:JMBA), a venture backed competitor. Before Zuka Juice Scott was a consultant with Bain & Company for seven years. At Bain he worked with many IT and non-IT companies, re-engineering their strategies for optimum results. Scott received a BS in Economics from Brigham Young University and a MBA from the Harvard Business School.

 

Kyle Love, Entrepreneur and Angel Investor

Mr. Love is currently the CEO of Direct Controls Inc. which provides manufacturers software that controls industrial robots. Prior to Direct Controls Mr. Love was CEO of Cogito Inc., a pioneer in the development of Graph-based Relationship Analytics. In addition Mr. Love founded NACT, a manufacturer of Class 5 telecommunications switches which he built it into a multi-million dollar company that he harvested in 1995. Kyle served as an entrepreneur in residence for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University for 3 years and is also a cofounder of The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF). In addition to Alianza Mr. Love has served, or is now serving, on various boards including: Omniture, Inc., (Public, NASDAQ:OMTR), Orem City Incubator Board, and Shopsite, Inc. In 1998, Mr. Love became a founding member of the Utah Angels, a group of entrepreneurs that has invested over $18 million in high tech companies.

 

Crick Waters, CEO of Conga.com

Crick is CEO of Conga.com, a business social discovery platform company, and serves on the advisory boards of Vidtel and VIDquik. Crick co-founded Ribbit in 2005 and led Ribbit’s strategy and business development activities through sale of the company to British Telecom. Prior to Ribbit, Crick lead development of consumer fiber-to-the-home, VoIP, DSL, Wi-Fi, and voice over DSL services at AT&T, and was Director of Value Added Services at NorthPoint Communications where he launched one of the Nation’s first voice over DSL services. Prior to his civilian life, Crick developed nuclear reactor instrumentation and control technology for the U.S. Navy’s fast attack submarine, U.S.S. Seawolf. Crick has served on the Boards of Directors of the DSL Forum and the International Packet Communications Consortium. He has B.S.E.E and M.B.A degrees from Duke University, and a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering.

 

Brian Beutler, CEO and Co-Founder

Brian leads Alianza's corporate strategy and vision and has been instrumental in helping to position Alianza as the leading provider of hosted voice solutions. Prior to Alianza, Brian was CEO at GetFon, a provider of business VoIP services and applications that he built and sold to AT&T. Prior to GetFon, he was the VP of Sales and Marketing, and subsequently President, of BeeLine Long Distance. Brian has received recognition for business, leadership and entrepreneurship including the Utah Technology Council's "2005 Emerging CXO of the Year", v100-Top 100 Utah Venture Entrepreneurs in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and one of Utah Business Magazine's 2006 "High-Tech 20". Alianza was also named among the top 25 fastest-growing companies in Utah during 2005, 2006, and 2007. Brian attended Brigham Young University, where he continues to lecture on the subjects of Entrepreneurship and E-Business.
