Alianza Nominated for Most Disruptive Technology SPIFFY Award

LINDON, Utah — September 9, 2015 — Alianza, the cloud voice platform company, announced today that the company has been named as a finalist for the San Andreas Award for Most Disruptive Technology by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley.

Telecom Council of Silicon Valley Names Alianza a 2015 Finalist for the Company’s Game Changing Next-Generation Voice Solution

LINDON, Utah September 9, 2015 Alianza, the cloud voice platform company, announced today that the company has been named as a finalist for the San Andreas Award for Most Disruptive Technology by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley.

This 2015 SPIFFY Award nomination comes from the Council’s Service Provider Forum members, a group of over 30 global fixed and wireless operators including AT&T, BT, DoCoMo, France Telecom/Orange, Swisscom, Verizon and Vodafone. The San Andreas Award for Most Disruptive Technology is for the most game-changing startup to present to the Telecom Council in the past year. It is offered to the company whose progress is most likely to disrupt markets and change the way people do things.

Alianza’s presentation demonstrated why service providers should cloud source their next-generation VoIP solution as opposed to build a new network with Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) software components. Superior in service agility, operational model and business case, Alianza’s hosted NFV VoIP solution delivers network transformation with a zero-CAPEX, lower-OPEX, success-based business model.

“Fixed voice remains an immense market with opportunities for both growing revenue serving business customers and improving margins overall. To realize this, we believe service providers need a new path forward,” commented Kevin Mitchell, Alianza’s Vice President of Marketing. “We are honored by this nomination and excited that service providers see our Cloud Voice Platform as a compelling solution for transformation.”

“The 2015 SPIFFY Awards mark the most competitive group of entrants to date,” said Liz Kerton, President of the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley. “SPIFFY nominees are chosen for their innovative solutions, approach to the market and strong leadership. Winners are in an elite group that will secure attention from global service providers for years to come.”

Disruptive Technology

The SPIFFY Awards is an annual ceremony that recognizes the best telecom startups of the past year. Since the TC3 2014 Summit, the Service Provider Forum (SPIF) and the wider Telecom Council will have reviewed over 200 young telecom companies. By simply being nominated for a SPIFFY, startups are recognized as the most elite in the industry, with ideas, relevance and traction that appeal most to global service providers. Award categories include innovation, creativity, emergent entrepreneurship and competitive excellence. Winners will be announced during TC3 on the evening of Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.
